Dr Anne Abraham is a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Business and Professional Development at the University of Wollongong.  Her main research interest is in the area of NonpProfit Organisations (NPOs).  Her PhD was a case study of the development of financial management practices in a large Australian NPO.  Since 1995, Anne has presented a number of papers at ANZTSR, ARNOVA and ISTR conferences.  She is a member of all three organizations and is currently networking with some NPO researchers in Austria, Italy and England.  She has had NPO research published in international refereed journals.  Anne teaches in the areas of financial management, management accounting and applied financial accounting

Dr Rosemary Leonard co-ordinates and teaches in the major in Social Psychology and Social Research in the Bachelor of Arts and the major Psychology in Society in the Bachelor of Social Science. She also has developed and taught research methods within the M.A. (Communication and Cultural Studies) and Research Methods within the M.A. (Women's Studies) which she has developed into a flexible delivery subject available to a wide range of postgraduate research and coursework students. Dr Leonard's experience in research began in the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research and continued in the Cumberland Disability Education Program. Her doctoral thesis was on the strategic analysis of social interaction. Her previous teaching experience was at Cumberland College of Health Sciences where she taught statistics and research methods. 

Dr Kevin Brown was a founding member of the Centre for Citizenship and Human Rights at Deakin University, Melbourne and is currently a senior lecturer and member of the Centre's executive committee. He has taught courses in sociology, social research and community development at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels at Universities in Australia and the UK. He has been a chief investigator on several ARC grant projects including the current Discovery grant into Comparative Active Citizenship with Professors Burke, Kenny and Onyx. Over the past fifteen years he has managed and conducted research into third sector issues in Australia, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. He has given keynote addresses, public lectures and conference presentations both in Australia and overseas in the field of community, civil society and the third sector, recently spending time as a a visiting fellow at the University of Hull. He co-authored the book: Rhetorics of Welfare (MacMillan: 2000) which presented a comprehensive Australian national study of third sector welfare organisations. He has also published several articles in respected journals relating to these fields with two currently in process on civic participation and the links between tolerance and active citizenship.

Dr Wendy Earles is a geographer, one of only a few in Australia and internationally to focus their research on nonprofit organisational change and state-third (nonprofit) sector relationship change. Dr Earles teaches within the disciplines of social policy, research design and organisational studies with the School of Social Work and Community Welfare. The 10 year follow-up study in 2005 of her PhD, Powerless places and placeless powers: the (re) shaping of human services organisations, 1984 - 1997 highlighted major syntheses of the impact of cumulative managerialistic and economic rationalist reforms on government and nonprofit organisations. She is a specialist third (nonprofit) sector researcher and was a co-researcher on the 1996 National Contracting for Care Project. From 2006 she is Managing Editor of Third Sector Review and acts as reviewer for Voluntas (International journal) and Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly (American journal).
